Abstract

The following research project deals with the current Brazilian and global scenario of the hybrid and electric cars market. Differentiation is made between the two types of vehicles that are most common in this sector today and their representativeness in sales. Along with this, a historical panorama is made about the evolution of the vehicles as well as predictions about the change of mindset with respect to the theme. It is also the infrastructure needed for the maintenance of the technology, by the large producers, the companies in the energy sector and the development of innovations. Finally, the advantages and impediments to producers, users and governments are discussed by replacing internal combustion cars with those using electric power.
