Abstract

The project aims to analyze the quality of information about police lethality in the city of São Paulo from 2013 to 2015 through the analysis of the category Legal Intervention and War Operations (Y35 and Y36) of the International Classification of Disease -10) and of the POlice records (Boletim de ocorrência) (BO) categorized as Self-Resistance and Homicide Due to Police Activity. Based on these data, it will be possible to georeferentiate the spatial distribution of deaths by police officers in the city of São Paulo, to evaluate the completeness of the information contained in the Declarations of Deaths classified as Legal Intervention and War Operations (Y35 and Y36), to estimate underreporting of lethality and to characterize the sociodemographic profile of the victims
