Abstract

The present research project has the objective of studying options to deviate an asteroid in a route of collision with the earth. This is a very current topic of research. It is related to planetary defense, and it has received the attention of researchers worldwide. Several tasks are required, such as characterizing these celestial bodies, determining their trajectory, size, shape, mass, and other parameters to help to measure the consequences of this potential impact. After this step it is necessary to plan and implement measures to divert them from this collision route. (AU)
