Abstract

This research will verify if the preference for ants and mites as food items in the diet of the frog Chiasmocleis leucosticta shown for the population of the Reserva Florestal do Morro Grande, municipality of Cotia (SP), is actually an electivity. For this purpose, the frequency of each food item observed in stomachs will be compared with the avaibility of arthropods of leaf litter collected at the same place and time that the frogs were collected through the Linear Index of Food Selection.
