Abstract

The issue of biodiversity is embedded in several paths of formal environmental education, both in the school context and also in informal education spaces. According to the Curricular Guidelines itself, the development of educational practices outside the school space is recommended; the uses of these non-formal environments are fundamental for a better contextualization, association and application of the concepts. These leisure activities in nature can increase the conduction and generation of new environmental actions, so the Parque Estadual da Serra do Mar constitutes a great space for Environmental Education practices. With the aim of analyzing how biodiversity issues are being addressed in the study activity of the environment, analyzing the physical, biotic and sociocultural contents, besides having a vision of how the school stands in front of these contents. As a research tool, questionnaires were structured to collect and study information that will be applied at the Núcleo Itutinga-Pilões and Bairro Cota 200.
