Abstract

This research has the objective of analyzing the conflict between capital and labor in Portuguese ports, more specifically, in the Port of Lisbon. These conflicts have intensified through the transformation of control strategies over labor in ports, due to the process of productive restructuring and flexibilization of the labor force through the adoption of the neoliberal model. In this way, we will analyze the capital advancement strategies in the port sector. As well, we will look at the reverberations of the changes in the work for the workers and their representation entities.
