Abstract

This research consists of editions and analysis of some art songs composed by Benjamin Silva Araújo (1902-1985). Silva Araújo arranged some of his pieces for choir and, in other occasions, for orchestral groups with solo singer. The editorial method is discussed and approached through the use of musical performance and practice as a tool to enrich editorial method and make it further consistent. This research aims to amplify the knowledge about this repertoire and to make it a bit more known. (AU)
