Abstract

The term BRICS emerged in 2001, by Goldman Sachs chief-economist, Jim O'Neill, that made the acronym BRIC, in a paper titled "Building Better Global Economic BRICs". The term is made by the coalition between Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Since then, many have been the unfolding about the grouping, mainly your transformation from a simple acronym concept BRIC, to an instance of political coordination between these countries. Said countries were chosen because they have developing economies, and are similar, not configured as an economic block, but more like a political group of cooperation. Cooperation is nothing more than a relationship based on the collaboration between individuals or organizations, in order to achieve common goals, by consensual methods. The BRICS members have different weight in the international scenario, since each one of its economies presents its peculiarities, and the group as a whole represents almost 1/4 of the global economy, the economies are diversified and have a high rate of the growth. The group of countries already has participation in world's GDP equivalent to that of the United States. In this perspective, Brazil's economy has a gross domestic product (GDP) of 6.55 trillion reais (IMF), the state of Sao Paulo totaling 1.89 trillion in 2015, 32.12% of the national GDP. This project has the objective of analyzing and understanding the exports by some of the West of Sao Paulo, with emphasis on the municipalities of Presidente Prudente, Marília, Araçatuba and Sao Jose do Rio Preto, based on Brazil's relationship with the rest of BRICS, from 2000 to 2016.
