Abstract

The present project aims to examine de Brazilian reception of French structuralist and post-structuralist theories in the literary studies domain during the 1970's. It focuses a group of professors who worked at the Undergraduate course on Brazilian Literature at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio): Silviano Santiago, Luiz Costa Lima e Affonso Romano de Sant'Anna. One discusses the contexts - social and institutional - that allowed such a reception, the forms that the structuralist and post-structuralists acquired when circulating in such a space and among those professors, and, more particularly, the difference of those ideas in the work of each professor.
