Abstract

The military police is currently the most susceptible profession to non communicable diseases. Exploratory investigations report that an average of 88,4% of Brazilian military police who work on the street patrolling face a continuing physical and emotional distress. Other studies reveal that the risk of suicide attacks in this community has come to be four times more likely to happen than in the general community in the researched state. The present work embrace a project of quasi-experimental research which aims: obtaining the profile sociodemographic of the target community; evaluating the quality of life in such aspects: social, affective, professional and health; applying for the program of intervention; reassess and compare the intra and inter groups, pre and post intervention. They will be invited policemen allocated in street patrolling of a Battalion in the State of São Paulo countryside, of any patent and the ones who are not suspended or have any organic, physical or emotional disorder that hinder them from answering the questions. The ones who agree to it, will sign the Consent Form and answer the Sociodemographic and Behavior Questionnaire and to the Lipp and Rocha Quality of Life Inventory. To assemble the procedures of training two groups: intervention (it will receive psycho-education with social psychodramatic rationale in six meeting) and comparative( it will be based on the Battalion daily routine). The participants of both groups will be selected randomly by a simple raffle, among the ones who present loss during any quadrant of the questionnaire. The data will be analyzed quantitatively, based on non parametric statistics tests with a significant level of p<0,05 and qualitatively by grouping answers with similar semantics, given the dispersion of the phenomenon to be studied.
