Abstract

Injuries resulting from intense repetitive activities, with high-speed on a short period of time and with excessive load, also known as Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) or Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (DORS) are the most frequent conditions in the labor area. These lesions, besides being common, relate to several functions, causing numerous diseases, generating pain, suffering and diminishing the life quality of the workers. This study aims to evaluate and compare, through knowledge and methods of Activity Ergonomics, the prevalence of these lesions in workers from the slaughter and deboning sectors of a cattle slaughterhouse in the region of Presidente Prudente/SP. This is an exploratory and comparative study.
