Abstract

The use of corpses for surgical trainning is more common every day. Thus, corpses should be chemically prepare dor they will not be exposed for long time in room temperature due maceration. The objective of this study is to analyze, biomechanically, the jejunum inside the corpses of chemically prepared and vacuum-packed dogs, aiming at the teaching of veterinary surgery, as well as evaluating undergraduate veterinary students. We hope to develop an anatomical model of chemically conserved corpses as an alternative method for veterinary learning that does not result in any forms of academic loss.
