Abstract

Nowadays, it is indispensable to have highly precaution with the use of animals in research and teaching activities and, as a result, the search for alternative methods for this use and which does not bring academic or scientific loss is essential. Thus, the purpose of this assignment is to analyze ,biomechanically, the dogs' corpses chemically prepared with ethylic alcohol and curing salt, and vacuum packeds, aiming the veterinary surgery practice and the veterinary medicine students' evaluation about the quality of dieresis and synthesis of the skin. This is extremely important, because surgical accesses are initiated with incisions and concluded with cutaneous sutures.
