Abstract

Will be studied the pollen morphology of 24 species of Fabaceae belonging to Cercidoideae subfamily and native from remaining forest fragments in São Paulo State, in order to describe the pollen morphology of these species, describing data that can help in the subfamily characterization, expanding the knowledge about pollen diversity of Fabaceae. The material will be collected from remaining forest fragments in the SJRP and SP Herbaria. The pollen grains will be acetolyzed, measured, described and photomicrographed to obtain the qualitative and quantitative data, if necessary, and the scanning electron microscopy will be performed to visualize the exine ornamentation. Qualitative data will be used in definition of pollinic types, and the quantitative data will be statistically analyzed according to the samples size and with a multivariate analysis.
