Abstract

The aim of this research project is the study, analysis and identification of the parameters of a permanent magnets axial flux synchronous machine, seeking to be innovative by the determination of the equivalent circuit parameters through the recent Firefly Algorithm. The whole project will be developed following the subsequent macro steps. First of all, the actual machine model will be built in Simulink. In sequence, the Firefly Algorithm will be applied to determine the parameters of the simulated machine. Thirdly, the tests will be performed on an actual machine. Finally, the real machine parameters will be validated through tests.
