Abstract

The interest in studying "Field Education" arose when I enrolled as a FAPESP TT-1 Fellow at the Center for Education, Work, Environment and Health Studies (CEETAS) in the Thematic Project, funded by Fapesp (process 2012 / 23959-9), in the which I experienced experiences in rural schools in the region of Pontal do Paranapanema, SP, and by a demand, due to the absence of studies in this area in my initial training in the Pedagogy course at the Faculty of Science and Technology - UNESP. It is noteworthy that the rural schools were constructed from the struggles of the peasants and the Social Movements of the Field, in search of a Field Education that valued and considered the specificities of the students in the schooling process. In this sense, the following question arose: What is the meaning of being a teacher in the initial years of elementary school in a school in the country today? The present study seeks to analyze the meaning of being a teacher of the initial years of Elementary School in a school located in the countryside in a municipality in the region of Pontal do Paranapanema, in the state of São Paulo. I will use the qualitative approach. Information collection will be performed through bibliographic review, mapping, standardized questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with content analysis. The main authors who supported the project were: Caldart (2004), Molina (2012) and Arroyo (2004).
