Abstract

The work is based on the investigation of the magnetic anomalies located in the adjacent coves of Paraty-Mirim and Saco de Mamanguá, in Rio de Janeiro. The acquisition of marine magnetic data was done on 6 and 7 October 2017, on board the boat of the Oceanographic Institute. Aeromagnetometric data obtained by CODEMIG in partnership with CPRM in 2013 were also used. Preliminary processing of magnetic data will be presented at the 16th International Congress of SBGf.The main objective of this project is to investigate the geological characteristics of the anomalies of the study area. The coves present possible faults and intrusions that will be studied through the application of filters available in the program Oasis Montaj. Beyond, direct 2D models of magnetic data will be tested for a more detailed study of the structures found in the area. (AU)
