Abstract

The purpose of this study is to verify whether the Syrian refugees that live nowadays in São Paulo identify themselves with it and have attachment to the place. For this, it was done, initially, a contextualization of the subject starting from data theories of a review of the Environmental Psychology literature, in which we highlight authors such as Elali (2011), Cavalcanti (2011), Milligan (1998), Proshansky et al. (1983) and Bowlby (1992). Ten semi-open interviews will be held with these people, whose data will be compared with the theoretical reference, seeking to make a synthesis analytic analysis through the content analysis of Bardin (2006). It is expected, with this study, contribute, in some way, to the area of Environmental Psychology and to increase information that covers the field of knowledge about the link between immigrants and the place.
