Abstract

The present research has as its main objective the analysis of the slave owners in the colonial villa of São Luiz do Paraitinga, during the first half of the 19th century (1789-1818), asity aimed to understand how the slaving phenomena developed in a particular economic context, that of supply-orientation, from the investigation of the life trajectory of small producers and their respective households present at the nominative list of inhabitants available for the locale.
