Abstract

Global warming and changes in species composition are one of the main problems ecosystems currently face. With this project we will investigate how 4°C increase in temperature combined with changes in litter composition affects body size of aquatic insect community living on tank bromeliads. Specifically, we seek to understand which litter aspect is more important and how does it interact with temperature rise to impact organisms related to these resources. Data originated from this study will allow us to understand precisely the global change impacts combined with change in biodiversity over communities structure.
