Abstract

The research on screen aims to understand and analyze the relationship between extreme body modifications - named "body modification" - and the online production of desire from the perspective of women who have experienced modifications. It is interesting to the research to know the relationship between these modifications and their articulations with the online sex market, whose interactive practices and processes are continuously commoditized. The assumption points to an extrapolation of the category "body modification", whose online construction creates a grammar of the desire to the sexual incitement of those who seek and consume it, as well as to create identity processes and agents that interpellate the category "woman" as a desirable subject. The methodology is qualitative in its nature and it is based on bibliographic research on the subject; documentary, starting from the analysis of the audiovisual materials made available by them in the analyzed platforms; and in the field, by interviews and accompanying observation during their performances.
