Abstract

This study is based on gender inequality in the field of science and technology and proposes a way to encourage female participation in this area, by, developing a wearable in a Science Club composed of female teenagers from a public school system located at the east zone in the city of São Paulo. This research aims to provide learnings about electronics and its components, Arduino platform prototyping, basic programming language and aspects related to the fashion industry and its technologies. The final focus is to analyze if to participate in the research provided a bigger involvement of the girls in the field of exact sciences, as well as, to verify the growth of their knowledge of this matter.
