Abstract

The increase in the number of bariatric surgeries in the last decade has required a more detailed analysis of their outcomes, in addition to weight loss. The current literature lacks information about feeding and eating disorders developed after bariatric surgery, although they have a significant incidence. In addition, these disorders also directly influence the patient's weight loss and quality of life and therefore require greater attention. The objective of the present study is to elaborate a systematic review that aims to gather the existing knowledge about the relationship between bariatric surgery and the development of feeding and eating disorders in the postoperative period, as well as to try to ascertain the characteristics of this process.
