Abstract

Hanns Heinz Ewers (1871 - 1943) was a relevant author of widely recognized fame during his time, despite being little researched nowadays. This work will consist in the translation of two parts from his most well-known short story, Die Spinne (The Spider), as well as about the linguistic-literary analysis and the elaboration of commentaries about the translation process, using theoretical texts about translation and texts of critical fortune about the author, his work and matters of literary criticism as a basis.
