Abstract The complex network of interactions that permeates the gene expression regulation processes has been the focus of many researches for a long time, since the full understanding about these phenomena could lead to the development of synthetic circuits to different purposes, from diagnostics applications to the improvement of non-silicon-dependent data storage systems. These circuits can be developed and regulated based on the concept of logic gates, using different molecules as input signals, and proteins and regulatory RNAs for information processing, creating complex gene circuits. Based on the versatility of using these circuits, the present project proposes the development of a genetic circuit to autonomous temporal control gene expression in Escherichia coli, using activation and repression processes based on CRISPR-Cas technique variations. | |
