Abstract Spiritism is known for the countless assistance works carried out throughout the country, through its spiritist assistance entities. It is a set of civil society organizations of a religious nature, which provide charitable and assistance services, forming part of the field of the so-called Third Sector, integrating a private social assistance network that makes up the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS).Our objective with this investigation is to produce a critical analysis of the discourse that composes and sustains as spiritist assistance practices and their ethical effects, within the Third Sector, in the light of the National Social Assistance Policy (PNAS). We will use the theoretical-conceptual approach of Institutional Analysis (AI), through a review of the relevant literature on such topics, including documents and bibliography. The literature survey will include material on spiritist social assistance, the Third Sector field and the National Social Assistance Policy, with emphasis on the recent regulations that NGOs need to know, to provide social assistance services and compose the Social Protection network. in the territories. To carry out this investigation, we will use the paper AI modality that consists of a literature review, through the critical analysis of documents and bibliography printed and / or available on the internet, trying to capture the discourse that supports the spiritist social work, located within the Third Sector, in the light of PNAS. We verified that there are researches and publications in Psychology that present a critical and accurate analysis about the discourse that composes the work of assistance and social promotion, spiritist and its ethical effects in the Brazilian society. This would indicate the academic relevance of this research. The social relevance of the research can be considered from the consideration of the expressive number of existing national, state and regional spiritist organizations, which, through Spiritist Centers, develop social work with a significant portion of the poor Brazilian population. | |
