Abstract

The present work aims to determine the capacity of interfragmentary compression of a new patented model (BR 10 2018 016021 4) of Angle Stable Interlocking Nail (AS-ILN), and to compare with the Dynamic Compression Plate (DCP) and the Locking Compression Plate (LCP). For the tests will be used specimens printed in synthetic material and compressive load cell connected to the Arduíno/Genuino Uno platform. Three groups will be created each with 10 samples, with Group 1 (G1) being the group from AS-ILN, Group 2 (G2) from DCP and Group 3 (G3) from LCP. In G1, AS-ILN will be implanted simulating the normograde technique and the compression will be carried out with the aid of the compression device registered in patent. In G2 and G3 the 8-hole plates will be implanted following the double loading technique. At the end of compression and fixation of the implants, the load exposed by the Arduino IDE program will be recorded in kilogram-force (kgf) and in newtons (N). In all groups, the stabilization of the specimens, the load cell and the implantation instruments will be carried out with the aid of a specific apparatus developed by the research team. The results will be submitted to the normality test of Shapiro-Wilk, if they have parametric distribution the ANOVA test will be applied, otherwise the Kruskall-Wallis test will be applied. In both situations, the complementary Turkey-Kramer post-test will be performed. The level of significance established will be 5%. (AU)
