Abstract

In this project, research alternatives on Computational Methods of Optimization with applications in Topological Optimization will be presented. Our focus is on investigating strategies that help to define more efficient structures designs. We believe that a new globalization for Sequential Linear Programming using Inexact Restoration methods can contribute to this goal. The student must follow the group discussions led by the teacher and collaborate with small adaptations. We also hope that the candidate implements and analyzes different numerical options, mainly related to the Computational Linear Algebra of the method, in order to obtain a more efficient algorithms.
