Energy measurement of anxious patients undertaken integrative therapies

Abstract

Anxiety has a high prevalence, being the sixth leading cause of disability worldwide, and even mild syndromes are associated with disability and suffering. The objective of this project will be to analyze the general energy profile and energy imbalance of patients with anxiety, before and after therapeutic interventions, performed with acupuncture or phytotherapy. The study will be a randomized clinical trial that will assess the energy levels of acupuncture and the herbal medicine valerian, applied for the control and relief of anxiety. The volunteers will classify their anxiety on the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and will be divided into 4 therapeutic groups: Acupuncture and real phytotherapy, and their respective placebos, with 36 patients in each group, totaling 144 volunteers. Before and after the therapeutic intervention, the volunteers will classify their VAS for anxiety and take the Bioelectrography (involves the collection and analysis of electro-photonic emissions from the fingers) and Ryodoraku exam (measurement of the individual's circulating energy using electropenetratable points, on conductive routes of electricity, similar to the meridians). The data obtained will be analyzed statistically in the BioEstat program (version 5.3) and Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), adopting pd0.05. The therapies implemented are expected to promote energy rebalancing in patients with anxiety symptoms. (AU)
