Abstract

This project aims to estimate trypanosomatids diversity and the infection prevalence in drosophilid communities collected in an Atlantic Forest altitude gradient. The student will work with the principal investigator and other group members in the sorting and identification of the Drosophila species already collected. In addition, the student will estimate the frequency of infected individuals by PCR. (AU)
