Abstract

Tests to detect epileptic seizures are vital for patients suffering from this disease. Currently, one of the methods used for diagnosis is the simultaneous monitoring of video-EEG, which requires an environment prepared with cameras that, at times, are not good and effective. The project is based on the study and application of reconstruction tools of the human pose and thus the development of software for the 3D reconstruction of the structure body in addition to the video-EEG exam. To this end, a portable device for continuous monitoring, equipped with a microcontroller having the role of implementing a sensor data acquisition, processing and communication system for the reconstruction program. The project is part of a larger research project in technologies applied to health, structured within the Aeronautical Technology Laboratory (AeroTech) in partnership with the Epilepsy Surgery Center (CIREP) of Hospital das Clínicas of Ribeirão Preto.
