Abstract

The present research aims to trace a relationship between the woman of the Middle Ages and the animalistic attributed to it, with the rewriting of the medieval woman in the work Minha Senhora de Mim by Maria Teresa Horta and O Remorso de Baltazar Serapião by Valter Hugo Mãe. This study aims to understand the use of animalization when related to the woman, considering that the animal's sense changes its tone, as well as the representation of women changes in the works of both authors, we seek to understand how the animalized women is a way of reinforcing studies on how women have been portrayed in literature and society.
