Abstract

This project proposes a comparison between Rubem Braga and Jacques Prévert's works, since their writings share a serie of elements, from the formal choices, the adherence to the daily routine, to the hybridism of his productions, which moves between journalism and the cinema, but also by the editing area in the Brazilian's case; by theater and collage, in French one. In fact, the chronicler and the poet understand the poetic making as something useful or committed, able to meet the material needs of mankind. Thus, this conception has shaped their ways in literature, being responsible for the original progress of each one's writing. In this way, the present doctoral project intends to compare both works highlighting the points of encounter and disagreement, and with that, although indirectly, reflect on the dynamics of the Brazil and France literary systems'.
