Abstract Taking advantage of the moment in which we are living due to the pandemic of the new corona virus, we will present a study of the epidemiological model SIR (susceptible infected recovered), which predicts the spread of a contagious disease, to motivate the study of differential equations of fractional order, comparing a mathematical model of fractional order derivative with the traditional model, with integer-order derivative.(AU) | |
