Abstract

This research aims to analyze and develop pedagogical processes with dance in the nursery, with babies between six and 22 months old, in a municipal school for kindergarten. As specific objectives, it seeks to: a) identify the presence of dance in the nursery and how the pedagogical work of this bodily expression with babies is developed; and b) develop a pedagogical work with dance in the nursery and analyze the potential of experiencing this body expression for the experiences of gestures, touches, looks, affections, discoveries, interactions and baby-infant, baby-adult and baby-world relationships. The research has a qualitative approach, action-research type, and will be carried out in a municipal school of Early Childhood Education in the city of Bauru (SP). The pedagogical process of dancing with the babies will take place for two months, twice a week, lasting 30 minutes a day. The project will include about 15 babies and five nursery assistants. The data collection techniques will be observation, with construction of a field diary, and semi-structured interviews. The data will be analyzed in light of the assumptions of corporeality, childhood phenomenology and dance as an integral part of human life. It is expected, through dance, to provide experiences and bodily relationships between babies, adults and babies, babies and the world and babies with themselves, contributing to educational processes in Early Childhood Education that enhance corporeality and bodily, sensory, expressive experiences and relational, which mark the beginning of life.
