Abstract

This project aims to understand the institutional reform for the elimination of extreme poverty proposed by Thomas Pogge in World Poverty and Human Rights. It will be guided by the following question: In view of the eradication of extreme poverty, what are the main relationships between the negative duty of justice and the GRD (Global Resources Dividend)? To this aim, we propose a path that begins by presenting the author's arguments in order to analyze his strong thesis that extreme poverty could be resolved through reform of global factors. Then, some elements that cause extreme poverty will be described throughout the work. Finally, we will present the outline of the institutional reform proposed by Thomas Pogge, with a particular emphasis on negative duties and the GRD (Global Resources Dividend).(AU)
