Abstract

This undergraduate research project aims at studying, by means of different approaches, thermodynamics properties and efficiency of no equilibrium thermal machines composed of interacting particles subject to different types of directed forces ({\it drivings}).In the first part, each particle is simultaneously placed in contact with a distinct thermal bath and subject a different and constant driving. In the second part of this project, we intend to employ the collisional approach, in which at each half interaction, the system is subjected to the same temperature and force, but they change at each switching time. We intend to study which approach allows better machine performance, obtained through efficiency, power and dissipation. Different aspects, such as, the system size and the number of states per machine and the role of period will be investigated. Optimization protocols will also be studied.(AU)
