Abstract

In face of the need to reduce pollutant emissions, the transport sector has been undergoing significant changes, especially regarding a greater adoption of electric vehicles. At the same time, there is a need to expand the charging infrastructure, which can negatively affect the electrical system, as the charging process can take hours and require significant power. In addition, it is known that each bus has different impacts on the voltage profile of the electrical system. Thus, the objective of this research project is to develop a methodology for allocating electric vehicle charging stations to minimize the impacts on the voltage profile of the system. This methodology will be based on a sensitivity analysis of the three-phase Jacobian matrix, built from the data of the distribution system and the state of the network. The methodology will be applied in a real Brazilian distribution system and the results will be compared with those referring to successive load flows so that it can be evaluated its accuracy. It is emphasized that one of the great advantages expected of this methodology is the reduced computational time required.(AU)
