Abstract

One of the main goals of this project is to present the basic concepts of Toric Varieties, studying the elements necessary to understand the construction of such varieties, by using convex geometry and the combinatoric present in these objects. As an application of this theory, we intend to study more general classes of toric varieties, such as those from semigroups, as well as their normalizations. (AU)
