Abstract The main goal of this post-doc project is to contribute to the planning and execution of the GMT multi-fiber feed, MANIFEST (Many-Instrument Fiber System), mainly on the optical and optomechanics design of parts of the instrument, therefore paving the way for deeper collaboration between Brazil and the leading institutions of MANIFEST in Australia. Within the MANIFEST project, it is expected that the post-doc candidate work on the G-CLEF Spectrograph Filter Box, fed by MANIFEST. The post-doc scholarship will foment the formation of an instrument specialist, specialized in MANIFEST and familiar with the two instruments that MANIFEST will interface with at first: G-CLEF and GMACS. This project also includes the planning of a 12-month visit to Australia. | |
