Abstract

This project is contextualised in the pipeline of the BINGO (BAO from Integrated Neutral GasObservations) project, a radiotelescope being developed to detect the baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) in the radio band, trough measurements of the distribution of neutral Hydrogen gas in cosmological scales. The candidate will perform an analysis of cosmological parameter estimation through the method called nested sampling from simulated BINGO data. In this work, the candidate will analyze several models of covariance matrix, in which simulations are build under different methods: lognormal distribution (FLASK, CoLoRe), N-body simulations (Horizon-Run 4, L-PICOLA). The candidate will include effects regarding the experiment and foreground contamination, in order to get realistic analysis. Moreover, he also will investigate models beyond Lambda-CDM, such the models of dark energy - dark matter interaction. This work requires a high computational demand. The candidate will have access, beyond other resources, to the supercomputer Santos Dummont located at the Laboratório Nacional de Computação Científica (LNCC). (AU)
