Abstract The project at the University of Oxford analyzes the "rural caucus" (Frente Parlamentar da Agropecuaria, FPA). With such emphasis, it aims to complement and deepen the results of the first objective of the research project at USP (pp. 5-7), which examines the Instituto Pensar Agropecuaria (IPA) - a dominant forum of private associations linked to agribusiness in Brazil. The respective private and state focuses of the investigations at USP and Oxford are planned to inter-connect in a mutually reinforcing dynamic, because both agents, IPA and FPA, operate jointly in a public-private dispositif that is central to contesting the demarcation of indigenous lands and favoring the leasing of demarcated areas.
