Abstract

There are several sources of water contamination. One of the most important water pollutants is waste based on azo dyes that are produced by the textile, paper and dye industries. In this work, morphologically engineered g-C3N4/CoMoO4 nanocomposites will be prepared via a simple and fast microwave hydrothermal method and applied as photocatalysts for the degradation of water pollutants. The prepared products will be characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UVVis). The analyzes will be used to confirm the structural, electronic and morphological properties. In the next step, prepared g-C3N4, CoMoO4 and g-C3N4/CoMoO4 nanocomposites will be used as catalysts for rhodamine B photodegradation.(AU)
