Abstract There are several sources of water contamination. One of the most important water pollutants is waste based on azo dyes that are produced by the textile, paper and dye industries. In this work, CoWO4/CoMoO4 nanocomposites will be prepared by microwave hydrothermal method, in a simple and fast way, and applied as photocatalysts for rhodamine B degradation as a water pollutant. The heterojunctions will be characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UVVis). These analyzes will be analyzed to confirm that the size and shape of the prepared products are homogeneous, crystalline and with a narrow size distribution. In the next step, the prepared materials based on CoWO4, CoMoO4 and CoWO4/CoMoO4 will be used as catalysts for photodegradation of rhodamine B. (AU) | |
