Abstract

The Squamata group shows great diversity in lung structure, and despite this, there is no complete understanding of how lung structure variation evolved in this clade. Thus, the present study aims to reconstruct the evolutionary history of the respiratory system in Squamata. For this, comparative phylogenetic analysis will be carried out with morphological data of the respiratory system obtained through the bibliographic survey. In addition, analyzes of embryos of three species of this group will be performed using computerized microtomography. (AU)
