Abstract

The present project proposes the creation of a website and official profiles in social media of the Laboratory of Neuropsychopharmacology of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences - Unesp/Araraquara in order to start a process of scientific dissemination to the non-academic public. The aforementioned laboratory has been developing pre-clinical research in neuroscience area investigating the mechanisms that relate chronic stress to the emergence of psychiatric disorders such as anxiety and depression, drug abuse and cardiovascular diseases. By disseminating of the information produced in the laboratory, we can contribute to an improvement in the lifestyle and well-being of society. In addition, by understanding the importance of science, the population may demand more investments in the sector. For this purpose, we will start the execution of the project through meetings with the laboratory researchers to present the communication plan and a visual identity proposal. The studies carried out in the laboratory will serve as a starting point for the creation of more accessible content suitable for the formats required by the different communication channels. To expand the extent of these media, we will promote actions to publicize and seek support with other universities and institutions of basic education, in addition to small articles and notes offered to local press and digital newspapers for publication in the press channels. Finally, we will monitor the results of the promotion of the laboratory's official channels through clipping and analysis of engagement metrics specific to each platform. With this, we intend to establish a communication relationship between the academy and society to create a higher attention from the public to science, collaborating with the propagation of knowledge.
