Abstract The use of biomass for biogas production is a strategy that aims to reduce dependence on the use of fossil fuels in the world energy matrix. Therefore, the indication of raw material that produces high calorific biogas is a challenge for scientific research. In this sense, we proposed the hypothesis that sweet potato (Ipomea batatas (L.) Lam), after anaerobic fermentation, has great potential in the production of biogas and biofertilizers containing essential elements for agricultural production. With this, the objective is to evaluate the influence of water regimes on the biometry and starch production of tubers; to evaluate the quantity and quality of the biogas generated in the anaerobic biodigestion; and the effect of biofertilizer, derived from anaerobic biodigestion, in the optimization of sorghum production parameters. Two experiments will be carried out. In the first experiment, in a 3 x 3 factorial scheme, the following water regimes will be considered as the first factor: non-irrigated (NI); irrigated with 50% of crop evapotranspiration - ETc (RH50) and with 100% replacement of ETc (RH100); and as a secondary factor the sweet potato genotypes: BRS Cuia (G1); BRS Gaita (G2) and Duda - UFT (G3). In this, in addition to the biometric and productive characteristics of the genotypes, the quantity and quality of the biogas generated by the materials will also be evaluated. The second experiment will be designed in randomized blocks, with five replications and four treatments: T1: mineral fertilization; T2: fertilization with G1 biofertilizer; T3: fertilization with G2 biofertilizer; T4: fertilization with biofertilizer of the G3 genotype and T5: no fertilization. The productive and nutritional characteristics of the genotypes used will be evaluated. The data will be subjected to analysis of variance and mean test. | |
