Abstract

The social isolation recommended by the government of the State of São Paulo during the COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult for the population to access health services, generating an impact on the performance of various surgeries and procedures. In this sense, this study aims to evaluate the impact of such measures in the performance of stomas and in the reconstitution of intestinal transit after colorectal resection surgery in the coloproctology service of the Hospital das Clínicas, Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo ( HCFMRP-USP), through a comparison between the profile of patients, surgeries and post-surgical procedures to which they underwent before and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
