Abstract The present work proposes the development of Pt-TiO2/SiO2 materials, applied to the degradation of a pharmaceutical contaminant of emerging concern in a continuous flow microstructured fixed bed photocatalytic reactor. Although there are consolidated works on the synthesis and application of metal-modified TiO2 photocatalysts, there are several gaps in the use of metal-modified TiO2 supported on silica gel and the consequent synergistic effect of platinum with silica. Subsequently, catalysts co-doped with platinum and sulfur (Pt/S-TiO2/SiO2) in different proportions will be synthesized in order to evaluate the optimal ratio of the dopants in the photocatalytic activity of the materials. In addition to understanding the results of characterization analyzes to evaluate the morphological, optical, crystalline and surface properties of the materials, experiments will be carried out varying the operational parameters of the reactor, as well as tests with a real effluent from a pharmaceutical industry. | |
