Abstract

Motivated by a recent experimental realization of a heavy-fermion quasicrystal lattice, we would like to investigate the RKKY interaction between impurity spins placed in a metallic quasicrystal. Our goal is to observe how the effective coupling between the spins varies as a function of the electronic density and temperature. We will calculate the spectral properties using the Kernel Polynomial Method to handle large periodic approximants and approach the thermodynamic limit.
